Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Miniratna Category-I, Public Sector Enterprise, was incorporated in the year 1970 under the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Government of India. A pioneer in the manufacture  of Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, today, BDL  has evolved as a conglomerate, manufacturing ATGMs of later generations, Strategic Weapons, Launchers, Underwater  Weapons, Decoys and Test Equipments. The customers  of the Organization are all three wings of the Armed Forces, Government of India.

Applications are  invited form eligible Indian Nationals to  appear  for Walk-in Interview for filling-up the following positions on  temporary (contract  basis)  for BDL-Project Office located at  Bheemunipatnam, Visakhapatnam. However, the candidates can be transferred  and posted to any of the Units/ Offices/ Project sites of the Company located across India as per requirement of the Company.


i)  In respect of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD), upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for all the posts advertised which is over and above the relaxation admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST /OBC (Non-Creamy Layer).

ii) Maximum  age relaxation by 05 years is applicable for Ex-Servicemen  & Commissioned Officers (including ECOs / SSCOs) subject to rendering minimum 05 years’ service in Armed Forces and fulfillment of other conditions prescribed by Govt. of India. 

iii) Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the  period from on  submission of domicile certificate.

C. TENURE OF EMPLOYMENT

Project Engineer / Diploma Assistant / Trade Assistant will be engaged on temporary (contract) basis initially for a period of one year, which may be extended up to a maximum period of four years (including the initial period) on extendable basis only, based on the Organisational requirement and individual performance. The contract employee shall not make any claim for regular employment in BDL, since the appointment is purely contractual and for specified period. They are not entitled for regular employment.

D. REMUNERATION


i)  “First Class” is “55% marks” for SC / ST candidates with respect to posts reserved for that category only. SC/ ST candidates applying against unreserved posts shall be considered under general standard of merit and no relaxation in minimum percentage  of marks in Educational Qualification shall be available  to them.

ii)  The  date  of declaration  of result  / issuance  of marks as mentioned  in the  certificate  sheet  shall be deemed to be the date of acquiring the qualification and there shall be no relaxation on this account.

iii)  Applicants who have pursued Engineering Degree after completion of Diploma must mention Diploma details in the Application Form.

iv)  No rounding off in marks to the next higher digit will be allowed for calculation of percentage  of marks secured in Essential qualification degree e.g. 59.99% will not be considered as 60%. 

v)  Candidate should have minimum percentage  of marks in the Essential Qualifications specified for any post as per University/ Institute rules.

vi)  Wherever  CGPA/OGPA/CPI/DGPA  or  letter  grade  in  a  qualifying  degree  (Essential  Qualification)  is awarded,  equivalent percentage  of marks should be indicated in the  application form as per norms adopted  by the  University/Institute and  a documentary  proof / certificate to  this effect  should be submitted by the candidate from the University/ Institute. If University / Institute does not have the provision  for  conversion  of  CGPA  / OGPA  /CPI  / DGPA  or  Letter  Grade  into  percentage   then  a documentary   proof  / certificate  to  that  effect  should  be  submitted  by  the  candidate  from  the University/ Institute.   Subsequently, the  equivalence will be  established by dividing the  candidate’s relative grade with maximum possible corresponding scale and multiplying the result with 100.

vii) In case  there  is no mention of specialization in the  qualifying degree  as required in the  minimum Essential Qualification mentioned above, candidates must submit a certificate at the time of interview from their University/Institution with a clear mention of their specialization.

viii) The qualification should be recognized by the State/ Central Government / UGC/ AICTE, as applicable.

ix) Following are the Equivalent Qualifications in relevant disciplines which will be considered:



i)  Academic / Teaching / Internship / Project Work experience will not  be  considered  as industrial experience.

ii) Number  of years  of service or  experience required for the  post  will  be  confirmed based  on  the Experience Certificate, Offer of Appointment, Last Pay Slip, Identity card issued by the  employer , Provident Fund Statement / ESI Membership / Salary Account Bank Statement  and submitted by the Candidate along with the application.

iii) Candidates Selected / Appointed / presently Working as – Project Engineer(s) / Project Officer(s) / Project  Diploma  Assistant  (s) / Project  Trade  Assistant(s)  / Project  Assistant(s)  / Project  Office
Assistant(s) in BDL are not eligible for the above post(s).

G. RESERVATIONS, CONCESSIONS AND RELAXATIONS

i)  Reservation of posts for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS and PWBD (Persons with Benchmarked Disabilities – with degree of disability 40% or above) are as per Government Directives.

ii) Candidates seeking reservation / relaxations as SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / EWS / PWBD  will have to submit category certificate “ONLY in the  Prescribed Proforma” meant  for appointment to posts  under  the Government of India from the designated authority indicating clearly the candidate’s caste, the Act / Order under which the category is recognized as SC/ST/ OBC (NCL) / EWS / PWBD. An application form without copy of valid certificates in prescribed format will be rejected.

iii) If the SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / EWS / PWBD certificate has been issued in a language other than English / Hindi, the candidates will be required to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same in either English or Hindi.

iv) Candidates must note that BDL follows only Central Government list and not State Governments list for SC/ST/OBC  (NCL)  / EWS.  Similarly,  candidates  applying  under  Persons  with  Benchmark  Disability (PWBD) category may note that Government of India rules will be applicable for any concession in this regard.

v) Candidates seeking reservation under EWS category will have to submit Income and Asset Certificate ONLY in the Prescribed Proforma meant for appointment to posts under the Government of India from the  designated  authority.  The  Income  and  Asset Certificate  should  be valid for the  financial  and  should  have  been  prepared on  the  basis  of income  and  asset  verification  for  the financial year . 

vi) For  getting  the  reservation  benefits under OBC category, candidates  need  to furnish OBC – NON CREAMY LAYER (NCL) certificate as per the format prescribed by Government of India (the pro-forma  can  be  download from  BDL  website https://bdl-india.in>HR).The OBC  (NCL) Certificate should have been  issued on or after. OBC category candidate who does not belong to “NON-CREAMY LAYER” are not entitled for OBC concessions and such candidates should indicate their category as “GENERAL” and will be considered under UR category.

vii) For Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD): Disability should not be less than 40% for the PWBD candidates  applying  for  the  PWBD  reserved  posts.  A  person,  who  wants  to  avail  the  benefit  of relaxation, will have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a Competent Authority as per the form V,  VI and VII  of rule 18(1) under  Chapter 7 of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 
. The existing certificates of disability issued under the Persons with Disabilities Act 1995 (since repealed) shall continue to be valid for the period specified therein.

 H. SELECTION PROCESS

i)  Walk-In Interview process will be carried out/ conducted as per the schedule in the premises of BDL- Visakhapatnam Unit, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Interested candidates (Indian Nationals only) who possess  required Qualification(s) and  relevant experience should reach  the  venue  on above- mentioned scheduled . Please note that candidates will NOT be allowed after 14:00 hrs. to attend the selection process.

ii) Candidate should attend the Walk-in-Interview along with the following Self-Attested-Certificates/ Documents (One-set Photocopy of each document) on the scheduled date of Interview and also bring the ORIGINALS for Verification at the interview venue:

a) Duly-Filled in Bio-Data Form  by affixing recent  Passport  Colour Photograph  (Bio-data  form is attached  along with this advertisement)

b) AADHAR card

c) Proof of Date of Birth / SSC Certificate / Matriculation Mark sheet

d) SSC Certificate / Matriculation Mark sheet

e) Intermediate / XII / Diploma in Engg. / ITI along with National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) – Certificate & Marks Memo(s)

f) BE / B.Tech / B.Sc. Engg. etc. – Certificate & Marks Memo(s)

g) Category Certificate – SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / EWS / PWBD / EX-Servicemen

h) Copy  of  Experience  Certificate  indicating  Date  of  Joining  and  Date  of  Leaving  / Offer  of
Appointment along  with Last 03 months Pay Slip

i)  Mandatory  Salary Proof Document:  Salary received  Bank Statement  indicating  monthly  salary credited / PF Statement / ESI Statements (for the period for which experience is claimed).

j) Percentage  equivalent Certificate or Qualifying degree specialization certificate as mentioned at
Para E-(vi) & (vii) above of this advertisement.

iii)  At the Interview Venue, applications along with supporting documents will be scrutinized to ascertain the eligibility of the candidates. Candidates who fulfill all the requisite parameters and Qualification & Experience Requirements will ONLY be permitted to appear for Interview.

iv)  For all posts mentioned above, Interviews  will be conducted  for the shortlisted candidates on the same day / at a later day in exigencies. If required, Candidate will have to stay for Interview for more than a day at own expenses. 

I. SELECTION CRITERIA


Selection will be based in the order of merit.  When two or more candidates secure equal marks, they will be empanelled in the chronological order of their Date of Birth, the eldest being placed first among them. In case, Date of Birth is also same, then the marks scored in Interview will be the basis for merit list.

 J. TERMS & CONDITIONS

i) Only Indian Nationals may apply.

ii) Mere appearance  in Interview, fulfillment of Qualifications and other requirements laid down will not entail a right for claiming appointment for the aforesaid post(s).

iii) Candidates will be debarred  ab-initio at any stage of the recruitment process in case they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria.

iv) BDL reserves the right to cancel the advertisement / the selection process / restrict or increase the number of posts / alter the eligibility criteria etc., in the interest of the Organization.

v) Travelling Allowances (TA) / Dearness Allowances (DA) will NOT be paid to the Candidates who are attending  the Walk-In-Interview.

vi) Candidates are required to possess a valid e-mail ID and Mobile number for communication. BDL will not be responsible for bouncing of e-mail sent to the candidates.

vii) Mobiles  or any other  electronic  gadgets  will  not  be  permitted  inside  the  Venue  of the  Selection Process.

viii) Any legal  proceedings in respect  of any matter  of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/or an application in response thereto  can be instituted in appropriate Courts/ Tribunals / Forums in Hyderabad, Telangana State only, which shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/ dispute.

ix) If the information furnished by the candidate in any part is found to be false or incomplete or is not found to be in conformity with the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement, the candidature / appointment will be considered as revoked / terminated at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment / joining, without any reference given to the candidate.
